1 year of suBrandco

We cannot even begin to comprehend where time flew. But you know what they say, time flies when you are having a good time. The last 1 year of suBrandco has been a rollercoaster. There are so many learnings, musings, and funny incidents to share. We are starting this series of sharing with “Notes of Gratitude” – a post where we would like to reflect on the good times of the last year and thank the people who have made this 1 year milestone possible.

Just a heads-up that this post is warm, mushy, and all kinds of fuzzy feels of gratitude 💛

Our family & friends

When we decided to start suBrandco amidst a global pandemic, there were a few skeptical folks. But the ones who believed in us, supported us, and encouraged us are the reason we are able to celebrate this milestone. When you start your own small business, surround yourself with your cheerleaders – and for those that choose not to cheer you on, ignore them. You don’t need that kind of energy in your life.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our dad – Bhanusharma Subramaniyam – the person whose name lives on our brand and has put his heart and soul into keeping us organized and encouraged. Thank you to our mom – Parvathy Subramaniyam – who keeps our mental health in check by asking us “Are you happy? Are you okay?” on a regular basis. And thank you to Kedar – our constant confidence booster who assures us that we are good at what we do.

Finally, thank you to our core group of friends who are like family – you know who you are.

Our clients

A small business in content creation would not be possible without people to create content for – our clients. Thank you for believing in us, for choosing us, and for sticking with us. We have taken on some exciting projects and clients the last 1 year – some in elements we are strong in, and some in areas that have been a great learning experience. We have been lucky enough to have the most amazing clients, and we cannot wait to celebrate more milestones together.

Group of professionals

When you work in a bigger company, you have your work besties that you can vent to, share similar experiences with, and reach out to for work advice. Well, you have that in the small business world too – and some of the best ones! Over the last 1 year of suBrandco, we have had the opportunity to network with and work with some of the most amazing and talented professionals in the industry. Shout out to these folks who guided us and cheered us on our journey to and through entrepreneurship – NM Interiors, Taglytic, and Soaperwoman.

When the global pandemic put a halt on my career plans, I panicked. A year and a half later, I am grateful for all the learnings and opportunities that have come my way and helped me build this small business that is now my comfort zone. Starting something on my own was definitely scary, and I am grateful each day that I am able to wake up everyday and do what I love. Thank you, to each and every person who has helped me gain the confidence to do my own thing – it’s the best plunge I have ever taken into an ocean of possibilities. You know what they say, surround yourself with the right kind of people, and anything is possible. I thank my lucky stars that I have such amazing people in my life, and I cannot wait to share more milestones together with you all.
